In this walk, you will discover the fauna and flora. You can observe birds and discover rare and colorful orchids.
Visit the Roças, historical sites of Portuguese architecture and also observe endemic species.
Itinerary:
Depart from your hotel to Monte Café, where the walking guide awaits you.
In this Roça you can imagine the magnitude of this Roça in its peak time, in its heyday. You will see the big house, the train houses, the warehouses, the dryers and the hospita. Everyone huddled around Terreiro.
Explore around Roça Monte Café and its small satellite roças Roças as New Destination, Bemposta and New Moca.
Following the Amelia Lagoon, you will make a long descent to Roça Bombay on a very steep slope. The physical effort is a little difficult, but the view you get is simply spectacular, a beautiful reward.
In Roça Bombay, which was once a coffee and cocoa plantation, it is nowadays dedicated to the production of mangosteen. It is the only place on the island where there is mangosteen plantation.
After all this physical effort, you will enjoy a swim in the waters of Bombay Waterfall.
NB: This walk can be modified according to weather conditions.
NBa: Transport by car from your hotel to the starting point of your excursion / hike. The walking guide will explain the program and give the necessary instructions before starting the walk. At the end of the walk, you will return by car to the hotel.
NBb: The lunch break will be in a place arranged for that purpose.
